TJX Values Longevity

Perhaps they started as a store manager helping customers discover great value. Perhaps they began their career in a distribution center loading fun, eclectic products onto trucks that would eventually bring the treasure hunt to life in our stores. Or perhaps they were recruited right out of college to start a career in corporate accounting. However our Associates came to us, we love hearing them talk about their careers at TJX and why they love working here.

Our data shows that many of our Associates accept a job with us and then stay to build a meaningful career. In fact, 36 percent of Associates in managerial positions across the Company have been at TJX for more than 10 years,1 and we are fortunate to have many Associates who have been with us for 20 to 30 years or more. The combined expertise, experience, and fresh ideas of our long-tenured Associates and the hundreds of new Associates who have joined us each year has created an environment of collaboration and innovation that’s invaluable to our organization.

We believe it’s important for our Associates to be able to grow with us, no matter where they are in their career or what career path they have chosen. While the paths vary for each Associate, the support remains the same: TJX cares about teaching and mentoring as a key part of our culture. We offer various training and mentoring programs as we continue to develop future leaders who understand our off-price business.
